Client confidentiality is of the highest importance to our firm. The following is from our privacy policy which is provided to clients annually.
“The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act (November 1999), establishes federal rules governing the disclosure of personal financial information by financial institutions. Accounting firms are considered financial institution under this act. As dictated by Anne’s CPA license, we have always and will continue to adhere to strict confidentiality of all nonpublic client information. We collect nonpublic information about you from the following sources: Information we receive from your tax preparation worksheets and other documents that we use in preparing tax returns and forms. Information about your transactions with financial institutions. We do not disclose any nonpublic information about our clients to anyone PERIOD! (We do not even disclose who our clients are without express permission.) If you decide to terminate your professional relationship with us, we will continue to adhere to the privacy policies and practices as described in this notice. We restrict access to your nonpublic information to those employees who need to know that information to provide services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your nonpublic information.”
